Well Sparky - I'll join you...but I agree - let's have an amazing Christmas and worry about the calories in the New Year. I have started to spend more time at the gym - Added benefit of exercising is that it helps relieve stress and it burns those extra 400 calories so that you can enjoy that special coffee guilt free! We'll have our own little weight watcher support group later.....Right now let's celebrate your amazing quit! Go Sparky go!! Sparky, Now there's a positive attitude! There's more of you to enjoy the quit! Enjoy your coffee, all 468 calories of it. You deserve it right now. Enjoy the treats over the holidays. January will take care of itself. Well, guys I got on the scales this morning :8o:. I am not sure if I am a cow or a whale at this point. According to charts I am not overweight yet, but I certianly did not like what I saw. So, today I am going to enjoy whatever I want and I may even do it tomorrow because of all the games and why not? For sure on Tuesday I will start my journal. This really does help for those who have not tried it. I write down everything I eat and the calories. I note how much water I drink and my exercise. I usually try and walk three miles four or five times a week. I try and keep my step to 10000 or more. When I do this I have no problem keeping my weight under control. I also note a few things that took place that day. As a lot of you know I have struggled with getting quit. I have gone back to smoking because of weight issues - NOT WORTH IT!!! I am going to keep this quit come he!! or high water. Right now there is more of me to love and care about, but I can change that also. One day at a time. I refuse to buy full figured clothes LOL Hope all of you enjoy your New Year. Well it looks like 2007 is going to start out with more of me . I will be starting the calorie counting again :( and quit eating after six again :( and increase my walking again :( and drinking more water again :(. I am far from being overweight, YET, but getting there. I have never ever wieghed this much in my whole life!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know the quit is more important, but honestly this is insane. Do you think it could be all the cookies I bake and eat? :eg: Well they will be going bye bye. I never thought I would post something like this :p. But I will not give up my special coffee, 468 calories. That is my reward sometimes. And it is sooooooo good. Well at least there is more of me to enjoy the quit :| My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 98 Amount Saved: $27 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 7 Mins: 27 Seconds: 17

Sparky, I am in the same boat and in the past gave up a 9 month quit because I put on too much weight and boy do I regret not just dealing with the weight!! - well no way am I going to do the same this time around. So I too will be tackling the weight - with the same guts and determination that got me through quitting smoking. Just like quitting fags look on it as building a better and more satisfied person rather than denying yourself something, it puts a whole new perspective on things. Also we do not have to go without all our luxuries just because we are calorie counting - just have a little less of them. Bake the cookies only on special days, make them a bit smaller than you used to, have half ( or 2/3rds) a cup of your special coffee - just a thought ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/6/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 328 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,938 Amount Saved: 820 Life Gained: Days: 59 Hrs: 22 Mins: 10 Seconds: 5

Sparky, listen to me, dear. It is the holidays and it will be very hard to embark on a mission of dieting right now. So please don't sabotage yourself or your quit. Focus on your quit, focus on having wonderful holidays, try to be reasonable with your eating and do all the good things you are doing, but do not beat yourself up and please don't have a lot of "shoulds" and "shouldn'ts" in your vocabulary right now. Love, Rusty :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/13/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 737 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20,659 Amount Saved: $2579.5 Life Gained: Days: 101 Hrs: 11 Mins: 51 Seconds: 52
