Ah! yes indeed Trish. :) We can handle it. In order to have something you've never had before, you have to be willing to do something you've never done before. I'm guessing the longer you've smoked the more healing and other stuff you'll go through....at least with most cases, right? I smoked for 5 years and I'm finding it alot easier to go through with my quit this time than I did the first time. I think that's because it truly is psychological. Crave the quit! Thx all for the comments. I will keep watch on it, as of right now, since I've been rinsing with the peroxide- it seems to be relieving the irritation of my tongue....although it still hasn't healed. :( We'll see about it in a few more days.....then I'll check into seeking medical attention. I'm really thinking it will go away soon though. :) Leolibra N.O.P.E. kickin nic's butt!! Hi all, I'm now on 8 days, I think. Just got back from out of town. I left home on Friday evening, with a slightly sore tongue. Didn't think nothing of it, just figured I must have bitten it whilst chewing on some gum or maybe in my sleep. Got to the beach Fri. night and went fishing. Had fun, but the tongue kept nagging me. Luckily, I had brought some Oragel along. :) However, by 1am I was getting annoyed with the increasing irritation. Went to sleep, awoke the next morning and OMG.....I thought I would rip the tongue completely out!!!! It was so sore at the tip.....well, it wasn't til this morning (Sun) on the return trip home, that I took a look at it. It doesn't actually resemble the same as a bitten tongue. I'm thinking it resembles more of a canker sore. It's red and inflamed and in the mornings, it hurts like hell!!!! So, I've been rinsing my mouth with peroxide and using the Oragel. Any suggestions as to if this is normal? Are there other things I can do to calm the pain and speed up the healing process?? Im guessing that if this is normal, then it must come from my mouth being dried out from all the 4000+ chems and now that it doesn't have to fight them, its beginning to heal by becoming cracked?? maybe...right?? Someone please let me know. :) Also, I've been having the driest dang throat!! Gosh, it's annoying. I've not had the 'brown crud' everyones been speaking of, but I've had a dry cough. Then again, maybe I have, because when I was a smoker, every morning when brushing my teeth, I would spit up some crud. Leolibra N.O.P.E. kickin nic's butt!!
