late symptoms

I know everyone is different, but I think this is kinda weird. I'm on day 12 or so now and today for the first time since I quit, I have a sore throat. I also have some small blisters on the inside of my cheek that just appeared today. Isn't it kinda odd I had none of this for the first 11 days then all of a sudden get these symptoms? Other than today I've had mild symptoms, had the spaced out feeling for the first few days, and haven't slept a full night since I quit,(or even come close to a full night) butI've been a bad sleeper for the past few years so I expected this. I was just wondering if any of the rest of you had symptoms appear a while after you expected them? Don't worry, crush. I had the same thing. Don't remember when they started, but it wasn't "immediately" -- but they went away just as phantomly. Other "delightful" side effects? Bleeding gums, increased skin "eruptions" on the scalp, face and chest. All quite normal as part of the healing process and your body sheds itself of all the chemicals in your system. As is often said here, "this too shall pass." :) Best, Livadia My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 90 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,815 Amount Saved: $450 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 14 Mins: 12 Seconds: 9

My body is still going through changes. It takes a while for all these chemicals to work their way out of your body. And everyone is different. Talk to your doctor about it if you can and continue to make healthy decisions for yourself. Fondly, Free Congrats on 12 smoke free days Crush ... that is really great! Crush, Your right..Everyone's body will react differently to the quit. Some may have symptoms a little later than usual. If you find something is persisting, it is a good idea to check with your doctor to rule out anything medical. Those 12 days look great on you! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
