Ok Thanks for the suggestions guys...I've got to pull myself together because Hubby is on his way home and I don't want him to see me like this. Why ruin his day over this?? I don't know how much longer I can hang on here. Suddenly, I'm in panic mode and I feel doomed. My emotions...well, let's just say that there is a huge knot in my throat right now, and I am trying hard to keep it back there so it doesn't spill over. I was SO hoping that this wouldn't happen this time. I thought I had a better hold on it. What the heck is happening? I know I know, take a deep breath...I have been along with other things to try to distract myself, but only this time it doesn't seem to be helping. The way I feel now makes me believe that this fight is going to get old REAL soon, but I don't know what else I can do. Please, any suggestions? Hi, As of now, I'm ok, just feel really drained, so I'm going to bed. Still no smokes.

These really are signs of healing. My husband felt this same way a couple of days after he came home from the hospital after a gall bladder surgery. He was still smoking but had this feeling of utter doom and panic and all the stuff you are metioning. I thought it was maybe morphine withdrawls (they gave him morphine in the hospital after the surgry) anyway the doctor said it was completly normal and he would not re-admit him in the hospital (I was begging them to take him back lol) the doctor said to give him some Benadryl (the allergy stuff) during the day as directed to help calm his nerves. It seemed to help my husband some, maybe you could try that? Stormy you have two choices. Get through it - the same as we all have here. Come out the otherside, and love it. Be a smoker for the rest of your life. Paying through the nose for the privelledge of it. Smoking all day every day. What will it be? Glad to hear you are hanging in there. I had an awful time last night as well. Today seems much better so far. I know what you mean about feeling tired all of the time. It's like my emotions are on a roller coaster. I wish someone would develop a pill or something that can magically "cure" this addiction!

Stormy, you've only got another day to go and then the nicotine will be completely OUT of your system! Hold On! You've come 2 thirds of the way, you CAN do the last and final haul! We've all been through that haul and it is not easy but you CAN do this. Stay focussed and DISTRACT yourself from any temptation you may have right now. I am with Shevie on the keyboard thing--that is what got ME through my first 3 days! TYPE AWAY! Fast and hard and keep it flowing--it would be a good time to start pouring all that emotion out onto the screen and it will get your through the crave right now. You can start your journal and then save it, and reflect on it so you know what you are going through right now, you won't have to do it again! Keep us posted stormy, and whatever you do JUST DONT SMOKE!! N.O.P.E. Many Blessings Friend, Eve My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 102 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 822 Amount Saved: $612 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 15 Mins: 31 Seconds: 5

Hi stormy - Rather than tell you I understand where you are, or tell you what you need to do... If you are willing, stay in the moment... Panic always goes away, it passes... that you do know. If you have the SSC messenger, IM Cobenfan or me for extra support. You can do this. One moment, remember? at a time... just one moment.
