Ann... some days are just like that. You are associating it with smoking because that is what you have always done. I'm having a bad day too, however, smoking is the last thing on my mind. You will get to that point as well. When we quit, we have to learn to deal with our emotions without the crutch of smoking. This is part of the process of quitting and it is very difficult to learn. Kick, scream, cry, go to a movie, take a nap, whatever it takes, just don't smoke. Smoking doesn't help anything. It doesn't make anything better, it just slowly kills you and feeds an addiction. you don't need it anymore. You are doing great. 33 days smoke free. Don't give that up. You have worked too hard for it. As for the bad day, I'm taking a nap. When I wake up, hopefully it will be better. Know that it will pass. After all, even when we smoked, we had bad days. I hope this helps. Ann, I hope you are feeling better after you nap. I am :) Keep putting one foot in front of the other. That is how we get through. Some days are good, some not so good but we get through them all and we don't smoke no matter what. Ann, hang in there. 33 days is awesome! Use your coping skills, distract yourself, do whatever it takes. It's just Nicodemon playing mind games, don't let him win! Hi Ann, Just do whatever it takes to keep your mind distracted. As Zyban says...it's just the demon playing mind games with you. Its perfectly normal to get times like this, but I prmoise that things get a tiny bit better each and every day that you remain smokefree.
