Glad you made it through Had Enough. For whatever it's worth, try H.A.L.T. - try not to get too hungry, angry, lonely or tired. Whenever I stretch the limits on one of those topics, my cravings go sky high. So glad you made it through . . . stay strong. If you want you can also read up on me with my drinking struggle on the sister site here at http://www.alcoholhelpcenter.net/. I know some of you asked how I was doing and bless you for asking but I just couldn't get on the computer today until now. I have to stay awake at least for another 1/2 hour which will make it 25 after 1 a.m. my time.........long story. Today was one of the most hottest days we have had. Along with the humitity....it sucked. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse. I tried all I could today to stay sober and smober and almost blew it. I'm now very angry with myself that I almost slipped!!! I took my youngest daughter along with her friend who spent the night here lastnight to go swimming at my in-laws pool. I watched them swim for 2 hours then told them it was time to go. After they changed, I took them to K.F.C. for supper and drove through the drive through at McDonald's to have a McFlurry ice-cream. All is well, so I thought until we reached home destination again. It was soo hot, all I could think about was having a nice cold rum and pepsie and smoke my ass off. I never had anything to eat today again, just sipped liquids all day. I'm going to make a Dr's appointment to find out why my stomach feels so bad. The heartburn came back today and I still have not got my diarrehea under control. It's been 11 whole days since I quit and as of midnight tonight, my 12th day begins. I should be happy but I'm still struggling. I went to the store after we got home to buy milk and cat-food and I came home with a case of pop which I didn't really plan on buying. Of course the pop I bought was just an evil plan to have a mixed drink with. I fought and fought hard not to drink or smoke. I knew once I had ONE AND ONLY ONE drink, I would buy a pack of smokes to compliment my drinks. I ended up going for a nap instead but couldn't sleep well due to the heat, so I got up, sat outside with the kids until 9:30p.m. and talked about a whole bunch of stuff with them. The thing that bothers me the most today is what STOPPED me from buying smokes.......it was my neighbour's wife. She was in the store and I asked how her husband was doing, which I always ask because this poor man is only living with 16% of his heart and he has to go get topped up a lot at our local hospital, which means get a blood transfusion as he doesn't make enough red blood cells or something like that and his wife to

Hey Had Enough, Am so proud of you, i really hope you are proud of yourself. Dont see this as a struggle, its not punishment. You can do this. You are doing so well. I know its hard, i know it is. You dont want to be going through your whole life constantly struggling, i know you dont. You are almost through the worst of it. I beleive in you Had Enough. I used to find it harder to breathe in high humidity too. It was pretty scarey. I was just thinking about what you said about seeing your neighbour in the store, do you not think that it was a sign from god. As you mentioned that if it wernt for your neighbour you probably would have bought some cigarettes. Hun the universe is screaming out to you, it is giving you everything you need to succeed in this, Stop for a moment and listen. Have you got IM up and running yet?
