Nosmo King, sorry about the gain, but hey you lost .2 and that's something to be proud of. This week's report- the same as last no gain, but no loss- just steady. (I had a slip too, as my meter attests. Back on my feet again and ready to attack!) I voluntered to join this thread when it was started up but never posted until now. For what it's worth... In the first 4 months of my quit, I gained 8lbs. I was not exercising very much. However in the past 4 weeks, I've lost 6 of those eight pounds and have more muscle (which as you probably know, weighs more than fat). In my opinion, 'miracle diets' are a waste of time, as burning fat is the issue and exercise is the key. I'm not working out in a gym, just spending 20 minutes on a cross-trainer (running machine) at home, doing the occasional workout with hand weights and some press-ups. I estimate that by August, I'll be back to my 'smoker' weight, with less fat, more muscle and far superior lung capacity! Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 154 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,635 Amount Saved: 1155 Life Gained: Days: 25 Hrs: 18 Mins: 17 Seconds: 51

TY Danielle! I was feeling 'off' back in April so she did a blood panel. Come to find out, my thyroid level was a little bit off =) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/26/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 51 Amount Saved: $12 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 13 Mins: 28 Seconds: 11

The most oddest thing about this quit, I am not as hungry as I was and to boot, my thyroid actually became better! My doc dropped my synthroid from .125 to .120 and this was from my April attempt.
