Hi guys, It is Thursday here in the Great Southern Land. Time to start a "SSCWW weigh in" thread for 22nd June? AAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGHH.................. ** Sound of feet running (lumberingly) down the hall ** ** Slam as the closet door opens and shuts. ** ** "Acch, It's that bloody Narnia again!" ** ** Rustle, rustle as the cookie packet is ripped open. ** I'm scared to weigh in today. If I sound muffled it's because of the blanket over my head. All jokes aside, I'm bloody happy with my quit. Now, how do I apply those great principles to eating healthy (both the type of food I eat and my attitude to eating) and exercise? *sigh* *grin* More damn self work I guess. I'll go get my journal out again. Kisses to all the skinny minnies alison ;) Kick the Herb to the Kerb My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 37 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,110 Amount Saved: $462.5 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 5 Mins: 56 Seconds: 15

Breaking, You should be at the weight with which you feel the most comfortable.... out of curiosity, however, how tall are you ? I hope you are better today. Weight flucuates so much. You should not be down about a couple of pounds. I am sure you know that. I was down 2 pounds on Thursday afternoon last week. That was great. That means I have only gained 4 lbs instead of 6 lbs since I quit smoking. LOL :)Mira My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/15/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 35 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 707 Amount Saved: $122.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 17 Mins: 24 Seconds: 16

I am not a skinny minny, alison, (working on that!) but I do have some advice you can use. The key is to write down what you eat. Check the fat/fiber/calories on everything. Eat things that are lower in calories and fat and high in fiber. Eat a lot of veggies, fruits, and try to eat at least 3 servings of dairy daily. Drink a lot of water. Take a multi-vitamin. Eat whole wheat breads. Eat lean meats or beans, which are a good source of protein. Stay active. Stay positive. You can do this, Alison! :) Mira My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/15/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 38 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 767 Amount Saved: $133 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 22 Mins: 58 Seconds: 58

I have been good with diet. Eating a little less since when I first quit (I was always on WW but at one point, I was really eating at my max) .... I have been swimming almost every day. It is really great because I don't feel like I am working out. I really want to look great in a bikini! My news this week is not so good. Despite my swimming and calorie counting, I still gained .8 ... I know that is not a lot but since I quit smoking, I gained 6 pounds up until last week. Last week I lost 2 but this week I gained almost a pound back. Oh well. I will continue my WW and my quit. Loser and Quitter for LIFE!
