At first my skin was so much better ... now it is crap. It hasn't been this horrible since I was a teenager ... GAH!!!! I am gaining weight whether I exercise/diet or not. Breathing is so much better now. Sleeping is so much better as well. I figure my body will 'adjust'. 50 days is not a lot of time to be quit after smoking for over 20 years. I'm willing to be patient with the adjustments ... because I am not going back to smoking. My skin is much clearer and rosier. I have a healthy glow again. My teeth are white again! My nails are white and my french manicure lasts much much longer. My hair is not as dry as it used to be and my lips look smoother. I have gained about 4 pounds but I feel fitter and I know those pounds will come off eventually. I feel better about myself. Lashes, Keep working with your doctor, he/she is the best authority to advise you on your psoriasis. Congratulate your son for us! Thanks for sending this question out into the SSC community. It's a great way to remind everyone of the many benefits they're getting from maintaining their quit. Who's next? Danielle ____________________________ The SSC Support Team

My skin went into teenager mode and I haven't been a teen for 20 years. UGH. But I can breathe and my kids tell me how great I smell now that I dont stink (got to love kids and their honesty). Lashes, What you say about psoriasis is interesting. I used to get it (for some reason) on my little finger. It's only now you've mentioned it that I've realised that it's gone! .. so it may have been connected to smoking after all thanks for this Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 147 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,430 Amount Saved: 1102.5 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 14 Mins: 59 Seconds: 24
