I am curious. I have psoriasis on my foot. My skin Dr told me she has never seen it in a non smoker! OK so I KNOW something I am putting in my body is making this act up. I have had it 4 years, it comes and goes round and round, I have never had more than a couple days and it starts again. So I have stopped a lot of things... hydonated oils are BAD all around, but have been rumored to be bad for this... so I stopped that and boy it is a lot of food we eat!! Also gave up caffine, well not totally but I was one to have coffee from wake up till bed, 2am still have it and can sleep no problem. Now I have decaf till afternoon, then water all day from there. :) Gave up sweet and low too. Gave up weight watcher meals... just not good- is fake food ya know. So my goal was cigs and coffee which go hand in hand for me. Making those addiction become healthy=WATER instead. I am happy with my progress, but sad that no change in my body. The other things I gave up about 1 month ago... before quit.
So make me see a light at the end of the tunnel and tell me some positive things that changed in you body since you quit.
My son 21, quit cigs and said he feels so much better when he waked up now. Yep that is sooo cool! :)

Oops, I forgot.
I gained weight for the first 6 months, even though I worked out at least 3 days a week for an hour, or so. Went from 226 when I quit to 254 just before Thanksgiving. Then started losing (believe it or not) between Thanksgiving and New Year's to 230. Bounced off 230 until April, then dropped another 3 pounds and I've been at 227 since. Nothing I do seeems to get me past it, just like I got stuck at 230 for a while. But hey, the way I figure it, 1 pound net gain after quitting smoking ain't bad.

About a month after I quit I noticed the skin on my face had tightened up some, quite a few wrinkles around the eyes were subdued, and the bags under my eyes were almost gone (even with the messed up sleep patterns).
My nose, though, has become an oil slick. No more pimples than before (fewer, I think), but I think it does look yucky.
