Hi Mac - I can't believe I haven't met you yet during your 30 day quit! Congratulations! I think that you and your wife must have a great relationship. (When I was smoking sometimes I secretly wanted friends to fail their quit - selfish junkie thinking) She obviously realizes how important your quit is and I can tell that you will be there for her when she is ready. It's also very difficult to quit when smoking is so close to you! Extra applause for you! Hi Mac.....:) Gee's your a 'bloody champion' as we say down here is Oz. Like you I will be blown away to get to 30 days.....congrats. When I gave up on Sept 11th my partner did to but she went back to smoking. It has been very challenging having a smoker so close at hand but I figure that the world is still full of smokers and I am going to be exposed to them from time to time so better to adjust myself and re-double my resolve than avoid smokers. I know how challenging it is having a smoker in the house. Geeeeeeee's I've noticed the smell on her so much more. She is great though, smokes outside and stays away from me after a cigarette because I don't like the smell. I am sure she will try again when she is more prepared. Anyway.....writing a flamin novel here. Keep on doing what ever it is you are doing because it IS working. Savvvy.....:) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 199 Amount Saved: $72 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 3 Mins: 56 Seconds: 10

Mac, I agree with your observations . Days 25,26 were really hard for me too . No, I did not crave for cigarettes, but I had strong feelings of frustration, boredom, negativity, loss of directions, etc ... But it's okay now . I'm happy to see my quit meter showing the mark of 300 cigs not smoked and approaching the 30 days mark ... So far so good! :) Cheers, nmc My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 29 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 300 Amount Saved: $145 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 13 Mins: 39 Seconds: 15

30 days and still going!! Boys has it been rough. Day 25 and 26 were a mother, but thanks to my wife(who still smokes) help me through it. Everytime I asked for just one smoke she made me do something and told me to wait 15 minutes and rethink it. Kept telling me that one will not help what im feeling, only a carton and then to continue. Thank you all for the help also, reading your stories and posts were inspiration to keep going. I know im not in this struggle alone. I know its far from over with this fight, but this day was a big stepping stone for me. Good luck to evryone, and keep the good fight to NOPE!! 30 days is an excellent milestone. You must be feeling very proud of yourself! Well done!! It's always a bonus when we're surrounded by good people to help us - your partner sounds like she understands what you are going through. I applaud you both!! That must have been a hard thing to do with your wife still smoking. Maybe she will follow your lead? You think?
