Way to go Cuddles. Glad to hear you made it so far! "It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit......" Stick to your guns girl... your quote has helped me, let it help you whenever it gets rough! Dear Cuddles Great job on coming here instead of smoking. Lady would be very proud of you!! You can get through this. Think 5 minutes a time. Do your breathing exercises, recite your mantra, drink lots of water down. When those things don't work.....kick, scream, cry your eyes out. Just please don't smoke. For me the 5 minutes at a time works.....because the thought and feeling will pass.....just get through those moments. I have seen you fight and work so hard to get to these 70+ days. I bet it would be harder for you to turn your meter back to 0 then to get through this crave. Think HELL week. NOPE. Cuddles, I have said this before....I KNOW this is your quit. Hang in there girl. Stay close by if you need us. Hi Cuddles - Ride this crave out like a wave... When it goes to the right, lean right, and left - well you get the idea... Picture being on a surfboard in the ocean on a really windy day and that wind takes that board over and you have to become one with that wave... Your focus, control and power will guide this crave until the end of it...Just stay with it, no matter what... Find something to get lost in - paint a wall, go for a power walk, do some journaling about this crave and recommit to your Quit, call a friend, clean the grout in the tub w/an old toothbrush! You can do this and we are all right here... Cigarettes Not Smoked

Cuddles - You will not smoke! I know you and how strong you are! Get out of the house and go somewhere outside where the air is fresh and do something for yourself. Today may be a great day for a reward!!!! Give a big one to yourself because you have 72 days of freedom from being a slave to that horrible addiction. Don't use your husband leaving cigs around to be your excuse (I'm so glad that he took them). My husband is still smoking like a smokestack. We have to be prepared for those cravings...this is the junkie's effort to get you to give in...go through the quit notebook again and read your goals and pledges. These cravings come and go in our days ahead - we just have to kick him to the curb and use that baseball bat to bash him Take Care! but DON"T SMOKE Island Girl My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 132 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,324 Amount Saved: $264 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 10 Mins: 55 Seconds: 31

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Cigarettes are GROSS!!! Try focusing on the negative aspects of having that smoke. About how you'll stink after. And how you'll hurt your newly healing lungs. Think of all the craves you've gotten through, and just do it again. We all know you can! Having family over later, so will be busy today. No smoking here Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... Thanks you all for your responses. It makes you feel good when you know someone else cares. I took a nice long walk. Breathed in the wonderful fresh morning air and saw a doe and her fawn. To be free is a wonderful thing. I am ready to tackle the next 18 days, then onto the beach.
