cheermom, I know you have had a hard time and loved ones who are unsupportive make it harder. Remember that my daughter didn't quit for two weeks and was not at all supportive. She was even trying to get me to start again by picking fights. But she eventually came around and now she has 11 days! We both just need to tough it out. As hard as it is we will all be here for each other and we will win. It's kind of like being labor coaches for each other. We can't do anything about the pain but be there for you. I am also craving pretty bad today, and feeling pretty lousy. I think about you and all the June-bugs and I think about that I can not let you guys down, I need you and you need me. So chin up june-bug, don't fly into the fire. One foot in front of the other, one day at a time and all that good stuff. Cheermom, Look at my latest post on the June-bugs thread. It has a great suggestion. I think I have found what works for me. I think we should all try every suggestion everyone has so we can find out what works for each of us as individuals. I have tryed even the goofiest stuff, you never know what it is that will help you. Cheermom, How did your weekend go? Did you spoil yourself a little? Danielle ____________________________ The SSC Support Team

Danielle, My weekend was the best since I've quit. daastke, I wouldn't replay week one if my life depended on it. One time is enough for me and let me tell you, I can BREATHE for the first time in 20 years (meaning without wheezing!). I love my new found freedom but I also know now that I'm a month into my quit, I need to get on with other things that I pushed aside and have been dreading. I have to make an appointment for a physical because cancer does run rampant in my family (both sides). I wanted to make sure my quit didn't relapse by relying on smokes during the stressful time. Now that I have created a new healthier habit, I can do my workout during the stressful time like I have been for the past 30 days (took me 3 days in my quit to figure out I needed something else to take the place). If someone could please bump something I read about quiting even when you have cancer because I need to know even if someone does have cancer, quiting gives you a better chance of beating it (medically proven). Been miserable since I quit (off and on) and am now in a funk and can't get out. yesterday was plain miserable because my mother and sister smoked while we were over there. Then my neighbor smokes and I enjoy talking with her. Our car was spray painted the 3rd of july in the middle of the night and personally that ticked me off since we know who did it but can't prove it. Then my husband reveals he never wanted to quit (after a month and NOW he says something) and he resents me for making him quit. Didn't know I had that power over him. He and I are in counseling, but the bickering back and forth is eating at my nerves. He and I are loosing ground as I cant figure out why he just can't get over the need to smoke. I know after a week he does not have nicotine in his system and it takes 21 days to break a habit, so what is his problem??? All he talks about is smokign and personally, I'm about ready to hand him a pack and say "bye".
