Noone can tell youe exactly when you will not feel lost. But at some point, you will not only NOT feel lost, you will know that you have FOUND the joy of freedom from this addiction.
Of course, you feel awful today. Who wouldn't feel awful when they are in withdrawal from the most powerful addiction there is. And I know, how hard it is to believe the words from the mouths of strangers. You need to have blind faith in those who went before you, that this really does pass and it really is worth it.
Stay as close to this site as you can. Post and read as often as possible. Drink lots of water. Take VERY good care of yourself. During week one, pamper yourself, reward yourself, and protect this quit with every ounce of energy you have.
Rusty's posts on Day One, Day Two, and Day Three are excellent. Read them. Copy them. Start a notebook. Carry it with you. Re-read them. day1

Come here and sob or gnash your teeth. We have all been there and done that. We understand. Just don't smoke.
Hang in there and best wishes, Trish.
