How Long

Hi Cassy They say that its something about the 3's 3 days 3 weeks, 3 months? I dont know if there is any truth in it, but I certainly had a tough time at 3 days and 3 weeks, and I have lost my longest ever quit at 3 months. I hope this helps. Just trudge through. Keep your mind busy and don't let the thoughts control you! This will pass! Hi cassy - This addiction is very powerful... take it one day at a time, one moment at a time. How long did you smoke? Your mind, body and spirit became a part of this addiction, and it will take time and patience (and as much focus as you can muster) to fight and keep fighting. And at the end of this fight, is freedom, and a new life. Be patient and kind with yourself, cassy - this Quit journey is amazing and it's frustrating and it's powerful all at the same time. We are all healing from addiction hell, it takes time... You are doing great- just keep doing it. We have a new group - if you need support and want to join us, I am on the SSC messenger most evenings, or/and you can IM cobenfan :) Blessings and Light- Healer My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 128 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,514 Amount Saved: $595.2 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 17 Mins: 27 Seconds: 38

It's a journey cassie, We have good days, great days, bad days, and horrible days. It is part of life and part of the quitting process. The cravings can be a real pain. Sometimes it seems like they will never go away. But, they do. Don't feed the demon with any smokes. You are doing great. Coming up to one month smoke free...yippee! Good for you. Stay strong. cassy, This is normal and it will pass. Try not to dwell on it and use your coping mechanisms to help you through. These sudden carves can happen at any point further in your quit. Be prepared for them and you will fair well. Congrats on 20 days! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
