Good morning Bonbons. Congratulations on getting 5 days behind you, not an easy task but you are doing it. I don't know your age or gender but years ago ABC sports had a slogan "The thrill of victory or the agony of defeat".
The same thing applies to you at this very moment and it is your choice. Life is always choices, not all of which are painless.

Please let me stay strong today. My mind is messin with me!!

Now ask your self "is my mind really messin with me or am I really messin with my mind. Again another choice to make. That is part of junkie thinking that most addicts make early on in their quit. Any subjective reasoning to light up that dirty cigarette is fair game to your mind right now.
Trying to remember back to day 5 in my quit, I am reminded that this is "hell week" Next is "heck week" and on and on it goes. This morning I woke up. Some days I say thank you lord, and others I say WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW leave me alone. Life goes on and you have more choices to make. Today I am not going to smoke. That way my choice this morning. I hope it was yours.
Kindest regards,
Duffis
