I don't think it's "hard core" to say "an ex-smoker doesn't smoke." DUH! If you want to be an ex-smoker, then you MUST refrain from any tobacco... whether it be in cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco or hookahs. I don't think saying that is hard core... I think it's practical and logical!
As for going and not smoking, I hope that you can do that successfully. That's going to be a hard challenge and if you don't think so, then you're fooling yourself! Please, if you go, go prepared! This IS the strongest addiction there is and the toughest one to fight! I don't want to see you fall to a tough temptation. BUT, if you can make it smoke free, then by all means... go and have a good time.
