Hi Ryan,
Oh, I can surely relate to how you feel!! Stay away from smokers. Please listen to what I am saying. As I informed everyone that I am not smoking I could not believe the people who offered me cigs!! From what I have learned smokers do not like to see people suceed in quitting. Sick isn't it? I did the patch before and for me the withdraw was too severe. I recently had laser theraphy. I can't rave about this treatment enough. No withdraw as long as I drank a gallon of water a day for 5 days to flush out my system. It can be done. Also, I pop in a mint or tootsie roll pop and chew on the stick afterwards. I keep a rubber band around my wrist and snap it when the cravings get bad. It can be done. Only if you want it bad enough. You must be honest with yourself. I tried to stop several times before and didn't do it but this time so far so good. I smoked for 40 years up to 3 packs a day and before I quit I was smoking about 27 a day. I never thought that I could stop smoking. Never!! I am very grateful for the help and support from the wonderful people at this site. Stay close, read, post, do whatever it takes you can do it!!
Be good to yourself and tell yourself what a wonderful job you are doing. :) It's so awesome to be a non smoker. Just stay away from temptation. Let us know how you are doing--u can do it!!
