DUCKIE I AM ALWAYS IN THE FOG. LOL. IT HASN'T LIFTED YET. I THINK THAT'S WHY I AM SO LOFTY. :p I do things with a light heart and an empty mind these days. I will share a funny story about something that happenned at work the other day that really made me feel alot better about this subject. I was sitting next to my friend and he turns to ask me something about a handtruck sitting by the door and I say to him "no I don't know who it belongs to." He then says, "No I mean do you know if they own it?" and I say "Who's They?" He looks at me with a strange look as if I just spoke Punjabi or something and I repeat, "Who are 'they'?" He continues gaping at me, as if though I am really growing a third eye or a second head, and he just shakes his head and smiles and says 'nevermind'. He gets up and walks to the other side of the office for something. Ok, nevermind. Fine. What, did I not speak english? I am thinking to myself. What was the big deal about answering that question? Oh well. My friend is great but he gets a little weird sometimes and it confuses me. About 2 minuts later he returns and grans the handtruck and goes to take it out of the office. He says to me "Hey I found out where it goes" and I replied, "Oh ok, good" and he says to me "Sorry I couldn't answer your question, but really there was just nothing in my brain at the moment to answer you, I was just on empty" and I replied "OMG I can SO relate!" And we both started laughing like school kids LOL. Morale of his story: THE FOG IS EVERYWHERE, WE SMOKELESS BEINGS ARE NOT ALONE IN THIS. PEOPLE RUNNING ON EMPTY THROUGHOUT THE DAY SHOULD DEFINITELY REFUEL AT THE BOG AFTER WORK. LOL. Duckie we will be tied together but may very well still be walking in the fog. Don't feel bad it's not like it isn't breathable LOL. Ok nuff said! I'm here for ya girl! MANY BLESSINGS!! Sure! C.A.R.E. is the month of April quitter's group. It stands for "Crazy April Reformed Exhalers". Thanks to redrosie for finding us our name too! Since we were noticing people calling themselves Knights and SmogFree Shamrocks we inquired what kind of groups they were. I will go ahead a quote butterfly with her fantastic info on all the monthly quitter groups so the entire topic gets covered:
Hey Guys!!! I'm so glad to see you forming a quit group!!! I think C.A.R.E. is a GREAT name for you guys!!! Ln, to answer your question, the most ACTIVE and oldest group I know of are the Unsmokeables, who quit in February of 2005. In that group is Duffis, UFO, Major Dude, Georgie and a bunch of other quitters who still check in fairly frequently. However, there are the Mid-December 2004 quitters, but as far as I know, Rusty's the only one of that group who still checks in on a regular basis. That's the oldest quit group I know of that still has members who post on a regular basis. Then, the Clover Club, which was quitters who quit St. Patrick's Day 2005, there were 4 of them, but now only 3. Then, there were the Summer Buddies, who quit in May of 2005, but that group pretty much died. The Smobers were June/July 2005 quitters and Lady, Cheryl and myself (although I since started a new quit) are members of the Smober group (people who quit drinking are sober, so people who quit smoking are Smober). Then, August 2005 quitters are known as the Fresh Air Freaks. The Survivors are the September 2005 quitters and the Ex-Smoker Jokers is the October 2005 quit group, of which I am the sole remaining member who has not since either reset their meter or left the site completely. Then, the November 2005 quitters are the November Butt Grinders and then there are the December 2005 Holiday Breakers and January 2006 Ash Kickers and the February Knights of the Empty Ashtray and March Smogfree Shamrocks and now... our latest quit group, the C.A.R.E. OK, so there's a rundown on the quit groups on the SSC. I'm sure there are some before the Mid-December 2004 quitters, but I don't know about them. I'm sure you didn't need or want all that information, but you got it anyway!
We decided to rally up the April quitters so we could be an
