fullhse06, You're blood sugar may reflect the change to your blood pressure as a result of quitting. Please consult your doctor to rule out any underlying conditions if your blood sugar does not stabilize. Danielle ___________________________________ The SSC Support Team

Hi there fullhse06!!! When you quit smoking, your blood sugar will be out of control. For what reason, I do not know. There was a post that had the reasoning in it, so I will search and let you know if I find it. I know that nicotene did crazy things to our bodies, and the relationship it had with our blood sugar is scarey. Keep eating. You will even have to eat more than you usually would. Making it healthy shouldn't be a problem with your blood sugar. I will let you know when I find it. ;) 4my2girls What Consumes Your Thoughts Controls Your Life My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 95 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,863 Amount Saved: $310.65 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 16 Mins: 17 Seconds: 29

I am a diabetic...I have been 8 days quit...cold turkey. I thought blood sugar would diminish greatly during the quit; mine, however, has been running uncharacteristically high. Any ideas about what might be causing this? oh...i am not considering at all returning to smoking!!!!
