ASKING FOR HELP

18 years ago 0 2257 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Lana, it is a tough time for you, I'm sorry. Please do think about how proud your Dad would be of you ~ Evertime somebody tells me how great I am doing on my quit, the nicodemon gets a little smaller. He should be very small to you now and just pesky. Maybe he only chooses the times when we are vulnerable. Be strong, know that we support you and take that with you, because there is strength in numbers and there are a lot of us here to help get you through this. Glad your brother will be with you. Peace and Blessings to both of you. Lana, I am so very sorry to hear about your dad's passing. You are still grieving and will be for some time. Allow yourself as much time as is necessary to cope with this most difficult time in your life. I lost both my folks eleven months apart and I can only say that it took years to heal even somewhat from that kind of loss. Nicodemon is quite clever and seems to lay in wait for just the right opportunity to pounce and try to entice us back into his web of addiction. You ARE strong! My goodness girl...you quit smoking during a traumatic time for you and kept your quit now for nearly 4 months. Look at that again...4 MONTHS! There is zero doubt in my mind that your dad would be very VERY proud of your 114 days without cigarettes. Furthermore, (I apologize for being so bold here,) I honestly believe he would be rather sad if he thought for one second that he was the cause of Nicodemon seducing his little girl back to smoking cigarettes. You can do this. You ARE doing this and you know that everyone here is cheering you on...holding you in their prayers, and sending virtual positive thoughts your way. Lana, My heart just breaks for you, I want to just reach out and hug you and tell you everything will be okay. You're a strong lady, and you have proved that. So tomorrow before you leave remember pay attention to your spirit, it will calm you. You know the breathing technique, after that just sit and meditate, let everything go and relax and enjoy the moment. Be loving and gentle with yourself, and think how proud that your father is of you. You're going to do this Lana, just believe in yourself and those 114 days. I'm going to believe with you and everyone here at SSC are believing with you.... Arm your self with all the faith that you have and you will come out victorious. Because the faith in you is stronger than the nico-deamon. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and believing with you... Blessings of love sent your way, SUNSHINE My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 117 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,989 Amount Saved: $409.5 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 19 Mins: 54 Seconds: 13

Lana, What a wonderful experience you had, you allowed your heart to guide you, and to reach out and take what was yours. Tears are a wonderful cleansing tool. I'm so very proud of you, and I know that your heart is heavy at this time. But just keep reaching out with your heart because it will never take you places you don't want to go. Lana Spread your wings. Be strong and know, as you no doubt know, that there is a addict in your head and that addict will do anything to get it's way. You have strength, you have all of the courage and resolve and fortitude that got you to 114 days. You have been doing and are in the middle of creating a loving new life for yourself. Spread you wings and fly! Freedom! Penquin, CobenFan, Riverdale Man, ButterFly Swimmer, Ln C.A.R.E., Josie, Thank you, all of you so much for your words of love and support. Yes my father would be so proud of me and my quit and I don't want to ruin that. He died of a smoking related illness. I've not dealt with the death of my father yet and when my brother called and said that tomorrow we are to meet and to do this it just all became such a reality. My brother is a chain smoker as my father was, and I know that I have to protect my quit and not let the situation lead to the lost of it. I will print out in the morning your responses and take them with me and read them and hold your kind words dear to me. Again Thank you Lana ^i^ My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 114 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,299 Amount Saved: $570 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 8 Mins: 28 Seconds: 36

I'm not one for starting posts yet tonight I need help. My father passed away right before my quit. Now tomorrow my brother and I are going out to the ocean to release his ashes. I'm having enough trouble dealing with this final goodbye when up jumps that nicodemon with all his bad talk. You all know what I'm talking about. Please I just need help right now from you to support me through this time. I need to print you out and take you with me. I know that he has no strength but the strength I give him, but right now I'm having trouble. Thanks Lana ^i^ My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 114 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,298 Amount Saved: $570 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 8 Mins: 18 Seconds: 39
