thanks for your adivce. Im hoping to keep going. some times its easier then others and then there are times you say why cant I have just one. I am going to do the second patch after this and wean my way down. I am no way ready to just take the patch off and not smoke. This is one hard addiction and liking smoking does not help. Thanks again My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 17 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 520 Amount Saved: $85 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 16 Mins: 34 Seconds: 0

well I still have good days and bad days, and I am on the patch. The 21 mg patch. What is gonna happen when I am done with this patch? Am I gonna go through hell week all over again? I am scared of this day because I still have days where it is a fight for me not to smoke and that fight is with the patch on. So is there anyone who is off the patch that was feeling like me who can tell me what to expect? Thank you so much. Hi Morningglory, I used the patch and so far, so good. How long have you been on it, since day 1 ,16 days ago? You are planning to go to the next step down right? That would be 14mg. Were you put on the patch by your Doctor? I was, and he had me on 21mg for 4 weeks, 14mg for 2, and 7mg for another 2 weeks. I was scared too each step of the way, but as long as you keep yourself busy ( hopefully not with eating, like me) you will do great. Hope this helps. I used the patch and my step downs were fine, I didnt actually feel any change in my craving at all. Take it one day at a time. Morning, Stick with the program to the end. This is what it was designed for. You may feel a few craves here and there and this will be normal. Prepare for the craves and have your coping mechanisms ready for battle. Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
