Cuddles, My husband quit smoking long before I even thought about quitting. I'm ashamed to say I was not supportive of him. I continued to smoke near him and leave cigarettes and ashtrays within sight and reach. I said the same thing your husband is saying too. "I'll quit once I see that you have made it stick." Well, he not only made it stick- he made it look easy! Now we are both quit. So, long story short, it can happen. Don't hang your quit on it but consider the idea that being a 'positive' example for him (even if he doesn't deserve it) could prove to expedite his decision to quit. ----
We love you here - you are always here to cheer anyone one on with your wonderful illustrations and encouraging words. Thank you for being here and being such a strong woman.
Great quote huh? Hi Cuddles. I've been a little busy lately but I want you know that I am still thinking of you and when I come here I look for you to see how you are doing. Great job with the hubby! I'm proud of you. That is the attitude you need. Keep up the good work! I've been away all day. I'm glad you didn't smoke Cuddles. I'm really proud of you too. You can do this. Remember you are full of all the strength necesary to win here. You are a success story. If hubby can't keep the smokes away from you soak them up. He will move them. I know there is a lot of contraversy on this site about smoking indoors and spouces rights and everything here but I can't stand to hear of a spouce that is trying to better herself and has no support from the other. What you are doing is good for you. You know you are going to feel absolutely awesome once you get past the first few weeks of hell. You are doing great. Keep posting that meter and be proud of yourself. We are so very proud of you. You refuse to give up and that takes true courage. Keep reading Cuddles. Stay focused. One foot in front of the other. You can and are doing it! Oh no you don't! Don't you dare start to question your quit. Where are your reasons for quitting? Get them out and read them...out loud. Remember last week? It was hell! Want to do that again? I don't think so. Remember your mom in the hospital? Care to be there? I don't think so. Whether hubby quits or not is none of your concern. This is about you and only you. YOU want to be a non-smoker, so be one. YOU want to better your life, so better it. YOU want to live longer and healthier, so do it. You have come too far and fought for too long to give up now. Do not entertain that junkie thinking for one more second. Look at Rusty, her husband smokes and she has over 500 days quit! You can do it too! Think Cuddles, Think! Cuddles, Have you read the easy way to stop smoking? The Carr book? Maybe that would help you put things in perspective. I read it about 30 days into my quit.
