OK, I made it one full day now. Boy am I haveing even some very physical symptoms! I am just alternately hot and cold all night long. I;m not exactly sleeping right. I just want to keep in mind what you guys and all the material has said, that it's not going to be like this forever, it will get better. Sunday morning when i get up it will be the 72 hours and it should be a little better then. I think that the chemical trys to get me back on it by wispering that this is miserable and I don't want to live like this, that it's not worth it. But it's going to get better. On the lighter side, i had a dream that because of not smokeing, my perm fell out of my hair and I woke up in the morning and my hair was all strait again. That couldn't actually happen could it? Ok this was a very interesting day but nothing is really important except that I did not not not smoke. Whoooo I came so close one time, I had an outburst at my son and everything but I did not smoke. Now maybe it will be better next time. I was amazed at how easy it was while I was at work. But the instant i left work it all fell apart. I didn't work out, tryed to take a nap but couldn't all kinds of stuff. At one point, I went into my daughters room to look for her cigarettes which I told her to hide very well. I looked around a bit but didn't dig, just finally calmed down and remembered N.O.P.E. I hope that it can go a little better for the rest of the night, I want to just go to bed early so I can start day two. Ok, so far so good...Thank you for all your good vibes and stuff. I overthought mornings, I mean, there is no way anyone can do all that stuff I had planed to get through in this short a period of time, and I didn't feel like doing any of it. So I'm off to work and I'll turn the site on there. I have spent many days preparing, reading, praying, and getting ready. I have plans, back up plans and back up back up plans. So this is it. I'm ready for bed and smoked my last cigarette, threw away ashtrays, lighters, and gave my beautifull cigarette case to my daughter. I am counting on you, who have already been there for me more than much of my family, to pray for me tonight while I am asleep and think of me and send me good will. I know you will be here for me in the morning when I will feel strange not smoking with my coffee. Thank you in advance for what you have done and will do for me. You are on day 2!!! Awesome!!! Like Rusty said ... you have just proved to yourself that you can go a whole day without smoking! It is not easy in the beginning, but you keep going ... it DOES get better! In fact once you get through the physical withdrawals and you keep a positive attitude ... you will look back in a couple of weeks and be totally amazed with yourself. You are doing so great! Keep on keepin' your quit!
