Take it easy today, mama. Take a long nap if you can. Eat your favorite food and take a long hot bath. You can do it! good job, mama..your first smoke free day! wonderful. I know the cravings are a b#%*&h the first week. But, they are just a feeling. You can let it pass over you while you are reminded that it is a sign that your body is healing itself from the destruction of inhaling poisonous gases. As Lady said, the hard part is over; you have started. Impress upon your daughter NOT to give you a cig under any circumstances. I have begged before and lost my quit because my smoker friends gave me a death stick. Attitude is so important. Stay positive about your quit. It is a GREAT decision. Accept how you are going to feel while withdrawing. Have a great day 2! Mama, there is something very special about one day down. It means that you now know, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that you can go a full day without smoking. That was something you didn't think you could do just a few days ago. That's powerful stuff! And if your perm falls out? Easier to get another perm than new lungs! Good luck on Day 2!
