hi goldie,ok go see the doc!but!i still cough at night.not a cough to bring stuff up,but a ticklly one at the back of the throat that drink ,soothers or mixture will not stop.i can go for 20mins till i throw up somtimes!![sorry!] this can happen up to 3 times a night! its one of the joys of quitting!!!hope this helps,your not alone! :8o:

I've been reading up on some cancer sites.....and they say persistant coughs are a possible sign of lung cancer. I'm not coughing nearly as much as when I was smoking (smoked for 37 years, oh my gawd, that 37 years always makes me sad, I wish i could have quit long ago), just wondering if it will take a longer time to actually stop coughing all together?? Thanks.
