My second morning was a bit hard. Infact all day I have been getting this fast as lightening idea about how I am going to smoke a cigarette "now" and then I quickly reminded myself "oh no I am not!". Its such a subtle and complelling idea. When I refuse myself I feel for a moment I get a sense of panick like "OMG!!! No Cigarettes...the sky is falling" or some nonesense like that. Also, I am very tired and I feel a headach from time to time. Also a bad taste in my mouth. It encourages me to drink water. Thanks for being here. Hi Cinda, Welcome to SSC. You will get a lot of support here. I hope you have used the Quit Program Tools to the left of your screen. Preparation is key. If you haven't gone through the material yet, I encourage you to do so. There is a wealth of knowledge there. Congrats on your decision to quit. Be kind to yourself, especially over the next couple of weeks. When the physical withdrawals hit ... know that what you are going through is normal and that it will pass. When the mental cravings hit (they should be better once the nicotine is gone) talk positive to yourself. Attitude is everything. You can do this and we are behind you 100%. Hi Cinda, That sky is falling feeling is anxiety because you've used smoking as a crutch for something else. Now that the cruth has been taking away, you don't know what to do, enter anxiety. You need to replace smoking with a new habit. Have candy instead, anything, whatever works. Keep persevering, Danielle ____________________________________ The SSC Support Team
