Second Morning

Tell yourself that you are merely "choosing" to not smoke at the present time. Try different methods of distracting yourself when the thoughts begin to crowd in. Relax, breath deeply for a couple of minutes. Cravings pass in a few minutes, even when we don't get nicotine. The headache is common to quitting, so is a bad taste. Tiredness is common. Be sure that you are GOOD to yourself....this meaning, rest, eat well, take it as easy as possible. Reward yourself frequently in small ways and also have like a weekly reward that is more substantial. Remember that YOU are what is important right now and give yourself some special treatment.
