HI Birdie, I really like your name :) anyway, I am also into the quit recently (goin to be 3 days old when tonight is over) ... Regardless of age, i think quitting is equally tough, and can also be extremely rewarding if we overcome ourselves and suceed in it. Hang in there. Today, just an hour ago, i have a terrible mind game going on, keep thinking of getting one... I couldnt really control my mind, so i occupy myself with work, TV, posting .... and now, it is gone. I feel safe again :) till tomorrow... na My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 88 Amount Saved: $12 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 5 Mins: 24 Seconds: 24

You are doing fantastic! I am starting day three and about 1/3 into it! I had a bad craving first thing this morning but got past it. I didn't have a piece of my NRT gum after 5pm yesterday!!!! I felt very good about that. I realized this morning that I must have the gum for really bad cravings but that's okay with me. Anyway to quit is a good way!~ My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/15/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 49 Amount Saved: $9 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 13 Seconds: 2

Hi birdie - Great job...make sure to reward yourself as that is so very important. One step at a time. And make sure to show your meter when you post so we can see where you are on your Quit! Go Birdie, You are doing great on 3 days Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... Here I am at the last part of day three, and i want to say thankyou to each of you for your support and encouragement, it makes a difference we can do this it is not impossible I am in control of what i put into my body, and nicoteen is no longer included only healthy body loving nutrients. it's crazy to think about how long i chose to inhale a poison because of the lies , no more not today i am enjoying the clean feeling in my mouth, how about anyone else are you starting to see positive things happening to you this week? it's approaching the end of day two,,, not my first trip on this merry go round i have to do this completely and totally committed to staying focused and goal oriented i think but at the same time enjoying the fact that i dont smell of nicotene, and reminding myself of that i am forty eight and know that damage has been done to my lungs but not ever smoking another cigerette will stop the progression,,,i think if what i am going thru and sharing with you will help another that is wonderful, because you have helped me ] i will post again tomorrow and read and post and read some more what ever i can do to never smoke again
