Getting High

When you ask my name and I reply it comes from memory. Just like I remember when I smoked. I remember how bad i felt and I remember the awful smell. I don't have to think long before a memory kicks in. times of trouble trigger the demon

Is it just me or does it seem like everything that goes wrong is like a trigger for a crave. My life in general is a mess so each day I think I'm doing good and then something will happen to remind me just how skrewed up things are in general and I start to crave. I am having to tell myself over and over that things will get better, but I have to tell you folks I have alot of stuff going on that I can't control. Today makes 23 days smoke free for me and I am surely going to try again tomorrow. The same person WILL smoke again.

Great post, It is just what I needed to read today. Change is hard but no harder than staying in a bad place. You never know when what you post will be life saving words for the one who reads it. Thanks Joyfulspirit, you've made my day,and my journal. Hang in there: Cherie you are doing exactly what I did. Talking to the board. Get it out of you head and in writing. You are going to make it. I am pulling for us both. N.O.P.E. times of trouble trigger the demon

Today is Sunday I have dreaded Sunday's since I started this quit. It just seemed like all I wanted to do was cry on Sunday. Thanks to all the good advice I have been given, in this post and others, I am finding myself in a better place today. I know you guys think I am a whinner, and I have been, but I am so much better. The bad times are when I run to post. That is when I need your help the most. I am getting stronger and I am feeling much better. I know as I get more confident in my quit I will be able to handle the other problems in my life. Thanks for your compassion, your kindness and your steadfast support. Most of all thanks for your advise. I love todays quote~~If you think you can, you right If you think you can't your right. I think I can. TODAY I WILL Love you All BLUE CLOUD My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 25 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 500 Amount Saved: $100.00 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 9 Mins: 9 Seconds: 9

day 3 hell...

You are doing great, three whole days, I was there not so long ago and I know how you feel. IT WILL GET BETTER. I was told that too.!! wasn't sure I believed it but now I do. Those first days are Hell and the second week is not much better. For me it was day 20 that gave me some relief. Now I'm thinking 20 days of Hell was worth the last 5 days I have felt good. Keep fighting. You will get better.
