Tryingtoquit, It's not uncommon to suffer side effects as a result of using NRT'. You can consult your pharmacist or physician, sometimes a change in dose or delivery system is all that is needed. Sounds like you're doing great so far nicotine free - congratulations! Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Hi Dave! Congrats on your progress! Last quit I used the patch and had some, um, "issues" of my own in that department. I cut them in half and didn't have any problems after that. This time I am trying Chantix to cut off the nicotine completely. You are a rock star - I am trying to make it through Day 1 so anyone that has 2 days or over is my idol right now! Have a great Sunday!

Hello Quit Buddies! Well im still not smoking, but ive decided to give up the nicotine patches as well. I was getting a nasty side effect with my bowels and would rather not have the patches than put up with that! Ive done a couple of days without them and its not that bad. Has anyone else suffered side effects from NRT. Speak again soon. Hi Trying, There is nothing wrong with using NRT. Everything is better than smoking, that how you should see it. By using NRT you don't get the "nicotinefix" as you get from cigarettes. It's just not as hard for you and that is just what a quitter needs. You're doing great!! Keep going. Hugs from Holland :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 498 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 14,940 Amount Saved: 2,353.05 Life Gained: Days: 70 Hrs: 6 Mins: 41 Seconds: 31
