Hey Cheeks, How are you. I see you are staying close to the boards too. I hope it gets easier soon, don't you? Lamplighter, your name fits you well. You manage to put a light in my day and I want to thank you for that. You say such encouraging things.I noticed you have posted over 500 times so I know you have helped alot of people. Yeah, it's tough but with the help and support I am getting it is easier to hang tough. Having a rough morning

Change is good!

BFS, really good post. Change is scarey and I don't remember that teenage girl who started smoking so long ago. I was miserable as a smoker. It kept me from having a close relationship with my children and grand children who warned me over and over of the danger. It made me feel dumb. Everyone knows smoking is bad for your health and anyone who does it has to be addicted. Oh I know I was one of those who made all sorts of excuses, but deep down inside I knew I was addicted and did not want to face it.Sometimes change is good. Thanks for reminding me I am not alone in this fight for freedom!! I Dreamed I lost My Quit

I did it twice last night. Dreamed I lost my quit in front of people I do not want to disapoint. I felt defeated and ashamed. Maybe that was Just a warning for me to be careful on my drive home and do not forget how important just one puff could be. I won't smoke today. I do not want to be a smoker. I can beat the Demon with my thoughts. Todays quote is a good one. I"ll be back. Sunday Morning coming Down

Hi Lady, Thanks for keeping up with me. I am doing good. I made the trip home without a problem. A friend bought me lunch as a smoke free reward. My daughter sprayed my house with a buttercream vanilla aroma from Pier 1 Imports ( after two weeks we can still smell the smoke)and I have an appointment to get my hair restyled for my two week reward. I do believe those dreams showed me just how it makes you feel to give in to an addiction. I am on day 13 now and the stigma of that being an unlucky day has me on me toes. I just made it through Friday the 13th!!!!!!. I'm sitting in my same favorite chair (where I used to smoke) Thanks again for caring. 745 days THAT IS AWSOME!!!You should be very proud of yourself. What do you think is the greatest benefit of not smoking? FIGHTING HERE

Mace,You are doing this for the same reason I am. You said yourself you already feel better. Smoking makes you sick and at our age it makes you sick more often. I'm on my 13th day and just like you I have thoughts running in my head trying to say it's okay to smoke. N,O.P.E. just keep saying it. It is better to breath! We have to believe. We can do this. We want to be free!!Feel Good and Feel Free. Two Weeks behind Me!!

Today makes two weeks smoke free. Yesterday the cravings were bad but this morning when I got up I was really thinking a cigarette would relieve alot of presure. That nicodemon was in my head shouting. I read the Post from Lady and I know she is right. I need to just hold on by the hour. I accually thought It was going to get easier by now but I guess in all reality I have more issues than just smoking to deal with. I have been smoking for so long I now realize smoking is how I kept from dealing with emotional issues in my life. Get you feelings hurt, grab a cigarette. Someone make you angry, grab a cigarette. I'm really a wreck. My life is a mess. I have a lot to be grateful for also. I have great support and people willing to help me sort things out. I have to focus on the main think first. Don't smoke. I am willing to risk temporary discomfort for the rewards of a BETTER life. Thanks for listening~~BLUE CLOUD My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 280 Amount Saved: $56.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 21 Mins: 55 Seconds: 40
