WTG one more try. Nice to hear from you. Sorry that you're cold. I spent 7 years in Syracuse. Too Frigid!! Now I'm in Florida, and this morning was 54 deg. I think I'm going to move farther south.
Still not smoking.
My wife isn't either, and we haven't killed each other.
Good luck on week 2.

Great idea Rocket!! I smoked for 35 years, the last five were 2 packs a day. With the help of some great people here, and a lot of posting, I went cold turkey 8 days ago. Now is your, and your wife's time to shine. It definitely is not easy to stop, but it's worth it. The morning hack has disappeared, and it's gotten easier to give up the habit.
I stopped by thinking of 1 hour at a time. That turned into 24, 48, etc.
Good luck, and post often.

No more talk of slipping!!! We've been through the 1st week.....It's all downhill from here. There is nothing stressful enough for anyone to give in to this demonic substance that's controlled our lives for so many years. I finally have stopped the morning hack, and it's all because of the backbone you guys have instilled in me this past week.
Hang tough, and no more thoughts of lighting anything. Well for you in Canada, go ahead and light your fireplace.

4C? That's only 40deg.F Holy cow!! Long underwear time. I live in Florida, and it gets that low 2 days out of the year.
Remember, as it gets colder, the people that will be the coldest, are the ones who have to go outside to smoke.
You will not be one of those people, and stay nice and toasty inside.

Hey guys,
Tonight I 'm sharing the story of my quit with my eighteen year old daughter, and I've introduced her to you all.
She's very happy that I met all of you and that I don't smell so bad anymore.
Thanks to all of you.

Octobreathers!!! I guess it's unanimous. Good imagination Jodi. Now I think I'm going to have to try to write a song. Never did that before, but I'm inspired.

How about that One More Try!! Get ready to have some fun. You are definitely a winner.
Today is day 9 for me & 8 for my wife. She has no clue as to how I've held on. I've told her about this site, but she thinks I'm nuts. Anyhow, could be all the nuts I've eaten this past week. In case you didn't notice, you are also helping my wife by keeping me sane.
I've been rooting her on, and basically just repeating everything I've learned here.
I've started on the lyrics for a song about this site. I never knew how hard that is. Well, if anyone's got ideas, let me know.
Again, way to go OMT, and sprquits. You guys are the greatest.
