Rough Ride This Morning

Gin- I hear ya! That first cig was always special, but not needed now! I just took a lap around the front yard and now I feel so much better. We must force ourselfs to learn new habits until this bad habit is but an old memory. Hang in there, we can do this! My dog is freaking out!

My best friend is my good buddy, Bristol, the Golden Retriever. I am fortunate to have my office in the home so I spend a ton of time with him. I haven't smoked inside for may years so all smoke breaks were taken in the yard. This meant many, many, chances to throw the tennis ball. Most smoke breaks included at least five or six throws. Yesterday he brought his ball into the office and dropped it on my lap. So we went out and had a "throw break". This morning he brought the ball and again put it on my lap. I was busy and ignored him. He just came back and put the ball on my desk. I guess it is time for another "throw break". This is much better than going outside to just smoke! I am new ! but I have Good Inspiration

Spunkyjj I feel your pain...this really sucks having to admit that something as stupid as cigaretts has such a hold over us. You can do this! Life is short enough without having to make it even shorter by smoking! I'm sure you can find a way to keep from smoking. remember NOPE not one puff ever My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 80 Amount Saved: $19.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 20 Mins: 20 Seconds: 28

hi new here

Kathleen- I'm also quitting AGAIN. This site is wonderful, but I've learned that you have to keep coming back for support. It is so easy to "forget" not to smoke.By News Years we will be well past "Hell Week" and "Heck Week". We can welcome in the new year with our new found health! Boring

Bear- I just read about your "stoup". It sounds like you need more practice before you start cooking for the landlady! Getting evicted for poisoning her might be the trigger that would get you smoking again. Please, please do not cook for her, yet! Hi! I am new here :)

AJ- How could we be so dumb to let ourselves start smoking again? I don't know about you, but I was doing great...."I'll just smoke this one while I'm out drinking with the boys". Well. I'm back and going to quit forever. We'll do this deal together! I forgot!

I met the boys at the diner, for lunch. Nothing new there! We all stood outside visiting until it was time to go. Of course the first thing that I do when I get back in my truck is to light up. When I got in, I looked down and saw that there was no pack of cigs. Cool, I don't smoke. By the time I got back to the office, the craving was gone and I felt great! That was the first time I thought about smoking by habit. I really didn't need that smoke. I'm going to make it!
