Way to go Steve!!! I think you've got it licked. I'm on Day 5 and it's getting easier now. I was struggling for a while but I pulled through. It is very psychological isn't it? You're on the right track and you should be proud of yourself. Steve Well done. Alot of this process is about moderating our own behaviour and by realizing that you never really needed that smoke you have proved to yourself that you can do this. There was a time when I never thought I could go through a day without a cigarette. I now know that that was a false assumption and a lie I bought a long long time ago. Today I find it difficult to imagine smoking a cigarette let alone feeling that I MUST have one. I can tell by your post that this was one of those "oh I get it moments" for you. Now just keep reinforcing that attitude and soon you will realize that you never needed to smoke in the first place... Good luck and stay quit nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 347 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,410 Amount Saved: $3,643.50 Life Gained: Days: 63 Hrs: 9 Mins: 27 Seconds: 46

Yes, you will make it without smoking. I never read on the packaging that not smoking kills. Funny though, it says if you do, you will. Die that is. Good job! Steve Bike, What a great experience on only your third day! Make sure you give yourself a little reward tonight for fighting off the craving and not giving in to habit. Brenna, Bilingual Support Specialist

I met the boys at the diner, for lunch. Nothing new there! We all stood outside visiting until it was time to go. Of course the first thing that I do when I get back in my truck is to light up. When I got in, I looked down and saw that there was no pack of cigs. Cool, I don't smoke. By the time I got back to the office, the craving was gone and I felt great! That was the first time I thought about smoking by habit. I really didn't need that smoke. I'm going to make it!
