Hi, JDK. I don't know you but everyone seems awfully glad to see you , you must be a great guy (assume guy, people call you Kev), so glad you're back.

Thank you and yes, absolutely wonderful people here. One of the first things I said when I got here was that I had never asked for help or support in my previous quits & I wasn't all that comfortable with it (I'm from Western Canada, we don't much ask for help) but right away I felt so welcome & it's been incredibly helpful going through the old posts. Also, amazing that long-timers like Penitent, Phil & Butterfly Swimmer as well as others, hang around for newbies. I know I'm gushing more than any self-respecting Canadian should but this has just been so awesome for me. I want to come back & help newbies too, after I have a zillion days on my metre.

Sorry you're sick, Shakes. I have never had any actual sicknesses on any quit, but we're all different. Maybe you're tired & worn down from scrapping with your inner junkie & you need to get some major R&R. Bad sore throat can be serious though, maybe you should see a doctor or at least get some vitamin C. Hope you're better soon.

There are lots of May quitters here, glad to have you all. Maybe I should have posted here instead of the general forum. Anyway, I'm trying to get a little support club going, like the MarchMellows & April Ash Kickers. Please go to the general forum if you're interested ( & I hope you all are ) & let us know your preference for a name. Good luck & good quit to all.

Sorry,JDK, I got so excited for a chance to be witty, I didn't reply to the first part of your message. Excuse me please, thank you, so sorry. No one actually told me about the ship & the beach but I figured it out from reading the stats parade. 50 days still seems pretty far away, I'm working pretty hard on 10, which is why I'm still up at this hour. I will do it, I just can't look that far ahead yet. If you have ever quit before or if you have ever had a craving that you couldn't immediately feed, you can be of help to someone, regardless of your quit days. I think we're going to be friends, JDK!

Hey, maybe you won't miss it so much if you think of it Canadian dollars instead of US. What is that, about $10?

Looks like it's the Mayors of Quitville, the Mayflowers or No Maybe's. Can we vote on those? I'll keep track of the responses & we'll build a treehouse & paint the winning name on a big sign.

Inside, outside, up side down. It doesn't matter, smoking stinks. I have actually always thought it smells worse outside. Even when I was smoking, I hated walking behind someone who was smoking. I can smell it on people everywhere I go now & I also think, "oh gross, I used to smell like that! No wonder I couldn't get a date."
 Impressive quit you 've going, thanks for checking in!
