March Mellow Cruises

Thank you First Mate Lainey. While you attend to the more important guest business, I need to resolve some issues with the navigational computer. Everytime we enter Margaritaville the system plots a course for Veracruz, Mexico; the oldest port city in the Americas. And did you know there are 700 islands in the Bahamas? There's no problem with St. Thomas, the system found that easily. Kokomo is a real problem. Did you know that Kokomo is very small and privately owned? It's a small island in Montego Bay, Jamiaca. We can dock in Jamaica and take a boat to Kokomo after making the necessary arrangements with the Sandal Resort Company that owns Kokomo. So far we have one good course ahead of us, St. Thomas in the Carribean. Do we want to plot additional courses for Veracruz and Jamaica? And how about the Bahamas; any one in particular? How about Cat Island? We seem to have a few cat lovers on board, though I don't know much about Cat Island yet. I am celebrating today!

Lainey, CONGRATULATIONS! You are awesome. I couldn't agree with you more and like you, I will never smoke again. Been there, done that, threw the T-shirt away (couldn't get the smell out of it) and it's not worth going back to. There's nothing about it that I want back into my life, no redeeming qualities. Thanks for being a great quit buddy, Tom My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 72 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,440 Amount Saved: $302.40 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 15 Mins: 36 Seconds: 39

Did everyone quit smoking??

Hang in there Butterfly Swimmer, You're ahead of your time and not out of synch. There's areas all over the world where smoking is still the norm, accepted anywhere and everywhere. This is a fad or trend that I actually need, like exercise and a predominantly healthy diet. There are fantastic benefits in pursuing all these. My company is like John's. There are very few smokers who step out to the smoking area anymore. We are owned by a large European Corporation and were recently visited by the CEO. He and most of his executives smoked inside our building at first. They weren't being arrogant or inconsiderate, that was perfectly natural for them in their country. Can you imagine being the person that told the CEO to take his smoke outside? It can be done and it can be done in a way that makes the person want to respect your wishes. Unfortunately, the right combination of tact, intelligence and consideration necessary to achieve this on a large scale has yet to be discovered. We're with you Butterfly. You are in the right here. Preparing to quit

Great to meet you Wheeley, I think you're going to find help here, I did. It wasn't the first time I had tried to quit but it was the first time I've not been alone on a quit. There are so many great "quit buddies" here that have been there before or are there right now with you. Share your thoughts and your experiences. It really does help. I hope you and your husband get it done! All the best to you. March Mellow Cruises

I went and did it, the navigation unit is down (it was running on windows, go figure). It may take a day or so to get it going again. Until then we're coasting. Coffee - OY!

Bump! Great post. I had the same coffee trigger, but I love coffee and have no health issues as a result of drinking it. Some are going to think I like pain (not true) but here's what I did. This was on day 3 of my quit, Saturday. I made myself 3 pots of half-caf coffee (that's what I drink) about 2 hours apart. The cravings came predictably hard at first and gradually were less by the end of the third pot. By day 4 I could easily handle the cravings. Now it's a nonissue. I didn't want to give up my coffee and did what I thought I had to to make this quit work for me. All the best plans don't resemble the rough draft when completed. March Quitters!

Hello Alohakeia, Yes, I knew a Jan but am not too sure about Larry. Can you tell me more? The Jan I knew was part Korean, and of course this was many years ago. When I lived on Guam, Kalapana did their first concert there and left the island with the song Inarajan (The Village). I had a good friend who lived in Inarajan so you can imagine what he thought of the song. Thank you Aloha, I can handle both. I need my quit buddies. My goal is to quit for life and you all are helping me and if there's anything I can do to help you with your quit I will.
