Hey guys I decided to start that journey to quit smoking today i've been smoking for 4 years but i'm ready to quit this nasty habit. I also feel like I took one step in that direction because I found a pack of cigs today but destroyed the pack by dumping all the cigerates in water which was really hard for me to do but if I dont have smokes around me I cant smoke :) I also look forward to meeting eveyrone on this board as this looks like a great place for great advice on how to quit and not get back into the habit. Well just wanted to say hi to everyone and wish you guys luck in your journey as well.

Hey guys well today is the first day in a new life for me trying to be quit free i've smoked for 6 years but now I am tired of it and I want to quit this nasty habit :) I'm a 25 year old male from Arizona whos soon to be a non smoker! I look forward to metting all of you and just reading a few posts already I can tell this will be a very helpful board on my journy to stay smoke free. Almost forgot I have tried to quit several times without success but this time i'm ready for long haul and will not give in to smoking no matter how bad the urge gets to have one.

nic gum question

Hey I was wondering how many here have had success in fully quiting with using nic gum? Only problem I see with the gum is that wouldnt once you get off it you would be craving nicotine all over again? But what are you guys thoughts is nic gum a good way to go to deal with early quit cravings? Hey guys i'm about to go onto day 3 of my quit and my body just feels so down right now since i'm not smoking and it seems like any little thing sets me off in a bad way lol... I just know if i can get past the next few days without smoking ill be in good shape but its going to be really hard if I keep feeling like this just from not smoking. But I will do everything in my power to keep smoke free :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20 Amount Saved: $11.50 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 19 Seconds: 40

Real bad mood today...

Well i've almost made it through day 3 which has not been easy for me but I figure like most of you guys have said once i get past the few days it will be easier :) so I will do everything in my power not to let that happen. And it is so nice still having that money in my wallet that I wouldve spent on cigs.
