One whole month already!?

Thanks! I'm really not rewarding myself much since I really don't have any money, and yes even without smoking all that I've supposedly saved has just gone toward bills and food lol.. I really just haven't even thought about it for several days, it just never occured to me lol... but this time I think I'll reward myself this weekend.. I started a diet about the same time, and I've been doing well and sticking to it all pretty well... and I think I'll reward myself with an "ignore my diet day" lol... as for getting in here more often.. I'll try I guess lol.. I've just been very busy, and not having any sorts of urges/cravings this whole time really doesn't make me feel like I have much to contribute, or advice or anything for anyone else... except that you just really have to be ready to let that part of your life go.. oh and btw.. my bf's decided to quit, but doesn't want my help LOL.. he's on that continuous quit cycle where every day he goes, okies this is it, and then he gets to a point where he just gives in too easily.. lmao... and he just doesn't get it, but at the same time, says "hey I'm doing better than I used to be" but that's b/c they're not available as much b/c he's just getting them from other ppl lol... but I figure, when he's ready, he'll just let it go, he's just gotta stop fighting himself lol... One whole month already!?

Thanks everyone! I really didn't even see this milestone hit me... and I really don't feel like I really need a reward, b/c being able to take my daily hour long walks is a reward, playing with my 4 yr old lil girl every day without getting tired as fast is my reward, not stinking, breathing easier, and getting healthier is my reward.... I'm loving life more, that is my reward.... I feel that each day, NOT SMOKING IS my reward.... and I don't think I could be more happier about it... I'm finally doing what I said I would do 7 yrs ago, just a couple yrs after I started smoking, and what I said I would do 6 yrs ago... and what I did for a while 5 yrs ago, and what I said I would do 4,3,2,1 yrs and 6 mos ago... I'm finally doing it.. and not caring that I don't smoke... I haven't just quit smoking... I've stopped wanting to smoke entirely... I've stopped caring that I used to smoke, and that I don't anymore.... but I've STARTED CARING, about my health, and my family's health.... and I've started being a poster child in my family about how easy it can be if you just let it and accept it... I've had two cousins start to quit the past couple of weeks and I just found out today, they didn't want to tell me and then not stick to it two days later lol... my dad's cut back significantly... I'm not pressuring anyone, they just see a light in me, and see the possiblities... my best reward, will be when my bf completely quits instead of playing this game he is, and I live in a smoke free environment... my next best reward, well it won't come for about another 15 yrs and it would be that my daughter doesn't pick up the habit, b/c she knows what I went through... And my only wish, would be that it would be this easy and enjoyable for everyone! *hugs* everyone.. done rambling now LOL My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 32 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 714 Amount Saved: $104 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 5 Mins: 26 Seconds: 41

update... I had a smoking dream

last night... it's weird, I haven't had any urge or wanting to smoke that I've been aware of, while awake, but I had a very weird dream last night, and I was smoking... :8|: and I remember saying in my dream that I was soooo mad at myself for going back to smoking because I'd done so well with quitting... I woke up going, okay, did I really smoke? :quest: or was that really a dream? lol and then I was like, OH WHEW! it WAS just a dream! ;p lol but it kinda creeps me out lol... especially since this has been really easy for me compared to before, and I really haven't had any probs at all lol.. oh well just thought I'd update while I'm here lol... nope no actual smoking, just dreaming of it I guess lol... *hugs* everyone! Thanks for all the support! and to the newbies... it does get better and you can do this if you just believe in yourself! Thanks Ron, we're all just finally accepting it now... she fought as hard as she could, and in the end, her case was just too bad, the doctors gave her 6 mos maybe and said there was nothing left to do... but that's pretty obvious when she'd underwent 8 mos of chemo and radiation and somewhere in the middle had stem cell replacement therapy and it was still spreading... and she's only just turned 30 last week... We(other friends and myself) are all just glad to have had the opportunity to get to know this ABSOLUTELY AMAZING woman.... she planned another friend's wedding, from about 1,000 miles away... was supposed to be a Matron of Honor at another, but by then was too sick to go, so I went in her place... if it hadn't been for that trip I'd still have never even seen the ocean... well except once when I was too young to remember it lol... I live in Indiana, she's in Arkansas, the trip was to California, and the first wedding took place in North Carolina, although the bride is from Ohio... and another friend is in Australia... does this kinda show how amazing she is or what? OKies wasn't trying to ramble... just wanted to explain how I can say so matter of factly that my friend is dying without seeming to upset... it's kinda just sunk in enough that it's like saying "the pen is blue" or whatever... Anywho, thanks for the prayers Ron! *hugs* Pamala My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 102 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,254 Amount Saved: $331.5 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 0 Mins: 35 Seconds: 45
