Hello,
Thanks for the support. I don't look at Chantix as cheating because there is not nicotine involved here. Its not really a NRT. I am not sure what you would call it, but if it works, so be it. All the help we can get is greatly appreciated, for all of us. Each of us has to use what we can to help us get through this. I applaud anyone who decides to quit, since obviously I know how hard this can be. I wish everyone the best of LUCK :)
If I can be of any help to anyone I am always available. So far so many people have been helpful to me and for that I am grateful!
Hello Dutch Fini
CONGRATULATIONS!!! HOW AWSOME IS THAT
You'll have to let us know what the name of your book is so we can get it after its published.
Be proud of yourself and reward yourself, you deserve it!!!!!

Great Post
Thanks. Its amazing how people can make us feel guilty for doing something to better ourselves!
Part of this journey is to remember who is important! WE ARE
We need to feel good about ourselves and not worry about the others. Thats their problem.
Keep up the good work and thanks again for the great post.
Hi Jan
I can't say that I know exactly what you are feeling because I am only on day 1, but everyone I talk to that has quit for any number of years, has told me that it never really leaves you and that a craving can come on anytime (whether you are a new quitter or an old quitter). We all need to keep strong when it does happen.
Hang in there, be proud of what you have done. Here is where the new people get their inspiration. Good Luck always! :):)
Hi Tutti
Doing just fine so far. Not smoking that first one in the morning kinda got to me, but so far getting through. I keep telling myself that I am a non-smoker now. SOUNDS GOOD. I found it kinda neat that I did not have to go outside on break today to smoke and hence I would not get soaked because its raining here.
Baby steps, I am going to take baby steps through this.
Thanks for the support and I'll post often.
Hi Clara
YOU CAN DO THIS IS YOU WANT IT BAD ENOUGH. Today was my quit date and all I have said to myself since I got up this morning is I AM A NON SMOKER. I am going to use this phrase every time I want a smoke.
I know it is hard I have had my first really bad craving this morning and almost tore my poor husbands head off. Hopefully all the cravings won't be that bad.
There is strength here on this site, so keep posting.
