want to quit smoking for good

Hi I think that is true "misery loves company", although I am not having a great day, but can't seem to put it into words today. Going home and going to bed would not be a bad idea, but that isn't going to happen, with work and then the kids and dinner and all that. Feel like I am in a fog today and a little depressed too. Hate feeling this way! Hope it ends soon. Getting tired of having to suck on candy too. But if it keeps me away from the "butts" then I will keep on keepen. (I think being a women, is part of this problem today, you know PMS)! Keep going PattyMagic, you will make it. We all have faith in you. Have a great day everone. First post -- Celebrating 1 month anniversary and Chantix question

Congratulations on your 4 week quit. Great Work. I am on Chantix also. It has definately helped. I still have cravings but so far they are handleable which is great. I have heard from several other Chantix users that they had no problems when going off the medication. Hope that works with me. Keep us posted on your progress and I am sure someone on this site will have the right advise for you. This is one of the best sites ever made. I probably would still be a smoker if it were not for this site. So, keep posting, Congrats on the quit and we are all with you! I have to admit this....jealousy....

Changing, I know how you feel, every time I see someone at work smoke, I think, why can't I? Just remember the feeling of the first week of quitting and do you really want to do that again? That is what will happen if we give in to that jealousy. Keep strong, keep going, YOU CAN DO IT :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 132 Amount Saved: $30 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 16 Mins: 46 Seconds: 46

NO OFFENSE NOTHING PERSONAL

Hello, I don't mind hearing both sides. Where there is negative, there is positive. With the negative comes lessons we can learn from. When I read that someone has slipped I try and find out why and can I learn from that. Maybe that situation will come up in my life and I will know how to deal with it better. There are times when I want someone to listen to my negativism and so I don't mind listening to theirs and hopefully we help each other through it. WITH THE POSITIVE COMES GREAT REWARD! Hope that helps. NRT and wellbutrin... I'm a little intimated...~~

Hello, I think with you being on Wellbutrin you should probably consult with your doctor about the Chantix. I am on Chantix and so far it is working great for me. I had tried the patches and the gums and all that stuff in the past, nothing worked as well as this Chantix is. Of course we are all different and I cannot say if Chantix and Wellbutrin can be taken together. But I think it is worth asking your doctor about. This is on of the best sites I have found for support and help, so keep posting, keep quitting, YOU CAN DO IT. There are so many people on this forum that are ready to help you. REWARDS.....

Good Morning, I am only on day 7, last two days have been HELL, but we are making it. I look forward everyday to getting on this site and reading, reading and reading some more. I decided last night that for my first week reward I am going to get myself a pass to our recreation center (costs about $50.00) and start to work on my weight. I am only about 15 pounds over where I should be, but with the last week I know I have been eating more, so reality is coming soon! Next week its a manacure!
