Hi RonR wow day 7 already woo hoo Hell week is almost over and out- good for you you've done a great job.
As for going down a patch, dont be worried Ron, I was, and didn't want anything to interfere with my quit, I discussed this with my nurse and she said if you need a boost on the lower patch try a piece of NRT gum too- not too often, just if it got bad. But you know what, I really didn't find a whole lot of difference. In fact I didnt find any difference at all, I just felt a whole lot better than the nicotine over dose symptoms and the sleeping and dreams were improved.
Anyway let us know how it goes and what you think- and well done on your week!!

KatieLynn I am afraid I dont have any constructive advice as I have avoided those situations as best as I can for the same reasons that you are experiencing- I would find it very difficult to be in an enclosed space with a smoker especially early into my quit.
I admire your resolve and strength being in that difficult situation and I am sure your determination will help you get through it. I am also sure maybe another member of SSC will have some more practical advice for you to help you manage this situation.

Welcome to you both- I can only confirm what all the other members have said previously, hang round here, read and ask for advice it really does help.
I came by every single day at the start of my quit and still try and stop by most days as I firmly believe this site and its wonderful members were extremely instrumental in making my quit so manageable.
It is going to feel very strange at the start, but it does get easier, like Goofy, I was a pack and a half girl for 37 years and if we can do it that surely gives hope to others, and let me tell you the reward at the end is so worth any bumps you may find in the road at the start. Each day done is a day towards easier....

Hey Bill- I can't give Champix advice either as I didn't do my quit that way- but I just wanted to support you by saying 12 weeks is awesome, and I would guess its pretty normal to feel something different after coming off the Champix.
I wonder if you're feeling just a little more vulnerable now you're going it alone so to speak? and if so then thats what we are here for. I am sure there will be other members who have felt exactly the same as you and will be here for you with support and reassurance.
Keep going Bill, 3 months is a terrific achievement.
