Headaches and irrational thoughts

HI DB, sorry to hear about your friend, thats awful.  Miki, since i'm on the new meds, I have that slow falling back sensation as well, the doctor didnt seem
alarmed when I mentioned it, but its kind of scary.

out for the day!!

HI all, thanks for the kind words, i'm smilng right now:) In about 3 weeks we are going up north for
a week, and its about a 4 hour drive, we do stop for lunch and stuff and the family will be going in about
3 cars, so it will be all following each other, I think its going to be fun, and the drive will be ok.
I also have started my bike riding again, and working out again, I went for a couple of spins on the bike around
the little subdivision i live it and it felt great.  I hope to go out with my neighbour tomorrow biking or to the mall
or something, a new challenge.:)

Tips on Improving Organization

HI Danielle, I agree on organisation, it helps me a lot, I have all my sewing projects in rubber
tubs and everything on my computer is in folders.  I try keep as organised as possible.
I find lists in the mornings help a lot, I go thru the lists and check off once its done, stuff around the
house like:
1) laundry
or 2) go for a walk
3) swweep the garage..
etc, once i've done it I just cross it off, so i dont run in circles trying to do things.
I dont drink caffeine anyrmoe in the morniing or late at night DB.  I have herbal tea at night sometimes
and i have decaf tea in the mornings.  I have coke cola once in a while, but not in large doses,
It makes me more anxious and i feel all over the place.

Extremely frustrated...

HI Cornish-dee.  its good to eat smaller meals more often, If I dont eat like that I feel sick to my stomach.  Especially when i'm
working out or biking.  I used to have a piece of toast for breakfast, thinking i'd gain weight by having more.  Then i'd be burnt out by 11:00 am
my sister got me into eating oats, or oatbran for breakfast, or sometimes i have plain yoghurt with cereal and fruits.
I've lost weight by eating a more filling breakfast, it feels good.  Wit h the meds i'm gaiining a bit, so i'm trying to keep a little off, tho when I go
to the doc each time she weighs me, and 'm gaining, but feel ike i'm losing as my pants are loose..does that make any sense.;)
Then i have a bunch of smaller meals during the day, and I dont feel dizzy, or nauseous,  Keep us posted:)

out for the day!!

hey Michael, thanks for those nice words, I enjoy my bike riding so much, even if it kills the legs, its rewarding
and i'm out there just enjoying the scenery and the fresh air.(well dont go to near the cars..grr).  I landed up
going yesterday for my ride, Today I didnt go but I did go out with my neighbour to the grocery store, and a garden
center.  Thursday we are going on a long bus ride into minneapolis, so that will be good for me too.
I feel if I go out once a day at least its good for me,..even if its for an hour or two, i feel more relaxed in the
evening and not on edge and grouchy!!!:0

summer storms are here

Hi gang, As we are warming up our severe weather is back.  I'm already worried and have been following the weather everyday.  I was ok the other night.  I couldnt sleep so i was doing my crosswords in the guestroom and I was ok, I didnt wake my husband, i just keep reading and  Iwas nervous, but I thought just keep doing what i'm doing as it wont make a difference if its storming or not, i'm still going to be in bed doing crosswords.   On sunday we had severe weather in MN, and north of us was a huge tornado, I feel so sad for those families.  Everytime they say thunderstorms I just about panic.  I usually go next door when i'm alone to visit my neighbours and they expect me when its severe, during the day when hubby is out at work.   I just dont want to dread the days because of the weather.  We cant control it but any ideas for trying to relax, and not freak out!!!!

summer storms are here

Hi cornish dee, yeah I'm sure you are right.  I would love to move, but who can outrun weather, and if I go somewhere else, there will be other things I wont like.  It says showers and some thunder today.  Not severe, so I just keep busy and if it looks severe, i'll go next door.  I dont want to run there all the time, as i'm not dealing with it if I do.  When I lived in South AFrica, I was very afraid of storms.  My dad had a cottage in the garden, and I slept out there, but when it got bad, I wanted to go sleep in the main house, but my step mom wouldnt allow it.  So I always felt isolated in storms, I think part of my fear stems from those incidents. I suppose thats why I always try run to the neighbours or something like that.  We got very bad thunderstorms there in the summer, and I would just sit in the cottage  (which had a lot of glass) in the hail and feel terrified.
