Thanks Y'all...

Hi All, Just wanted to pass on that I'm doing ok today and wanted to thank everybody for their responses. Andrea, thanks for the pep talk; Phillip for listening; CobenFan for the inspiration. (I think it was the ice cream); Danielle, for the reminder that my hard work has not been in vain; Free, for reminding me to flush the pity pot; gonnadoit, for the good ole back-home southern hugs; Marie, for your intended pun ;p; Windy, for blowing my blahs away with your cold northern winds; Healer, for helping me recognize the difference between my voice and the voice of the junkie, which is VERY deceptive. I wish each and every one of you a wonderful day! Junkie Talk

Jo, Wow, nearly 4 months! That's an amazing quit number and it would be a real bummer to lose it all for the sake of "nic" and his lies. I know exactly how you feel when the junkie tells you things that are so convincing and as long as it is able to hold your attention in its desperate attempts to keep you hooked, it will. The junkie doesn't care how much time and effort you've put into this quit. The junkie is a sneaky little coward and boasts that he can take over anyone's life. He likes the challenge. All he does is stay hidden within you and when he wants his fix, he starts telling you whatever he has to just to get it. He's found his home inside your body and he's kicking and screaming because you have evicted him. This is his last attempts to try to convince you to let him stay. Give him the boot once and for all! Kick his butt out and change the lock on the door so he won't be able to EVER get back in. Can't you just see him now...smiling with that smug look because he knows he has you right where he wants you to be?? Grrrrr. Get mad! "Nic" must die! He certainly knows how to make you think the opposite in what you know is the right thing huh. He may be clever but he's worthless. Hang in there! Your freedom could be right around the corner. It's so close! Dreaming ....

Ahh, the ramblings of the subconscious mind. Ever have a metaphorical dream about cigarettes? Like you dreamed about something entirely different but upon awakening, you know something specific in your dream was referring to cigarette. I had one last night.
