Wow, three days already and it sounds like so far it's going good for you. Nothing wrong with using NRT to help you kick the habit. 
I too used the patch to help me quit after 37 years of smoking. I'm here to tell you that it can be done. I had to stop using the patch at night after the 2nd day though. It gave me some really weird dreams. Have you tried to quit before? Better breathing after only 3 days, that's great!! Saving money is also nice too.
