Hi forcemac,

So glad to see you again this time. Glad to hear you're quit again and discovering the joy of exercise. Congratulations on the fun run! It really is fun to use those lungs the way nature intended, isn't it?

Its been a while since I posted and wanted to update everyone on the exciting news!

I have stayed quit for 2 MONTHS! I have been strong and started to chip away at those goals I mentioned in my first post on this discussion.

I finally got that gym membership and I now run 3 miles every other day on the treadmill + use some strength training machines. I ran my very first race "it was a 2 mile fun run"! I had a blast and felt so good running by the smokers watching in the crowd.

Because of my high blood pressure problems I might have to go on medication, but my doctor and I are working to see if diet and exercise alone can bring it down to normal levels

I wanted to thank everyone for the support. This will probably be my last post for a while, but I will pop in from time to time and chime in on a discussion if I feel I can give good advice.

For my quit it had to be a FULL ON LIFE STYLE CHANGE....but you know what?....I love my new life, going to the gym is fun and a great stress reliever...plus after a work out you will hate the thought of a cigg.....did I mention I lost 10lbs?

Life is good! Positive vibes to all :)

Aw, forcemac. Long time and no see. Sorry that you're coming back under these circumstances, but glad that you are renewing your commitment to quit.

All I can say is that you know how to do this, so let's do it.
