Help Guys - I lost my quit and want to try again tomorrow

16 years ago 0 3307 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Janna, been where you are at to many times. Let's see "I feel like a loser." Know that one to well. In reality the only thing you lost was your quit. "I am only smoking 5." Know that one too. I am sitting on the fence, know that one too. Janna, if you really and do mean really want to quit you can do it. Sitting on fence gets pretty uncomfortable after awhile. Smoking only 5, is your way of saying I am not doing to bad. I use to say I am only smoking 10 or less a day and that's not to bad since I use smoke a pack and half. And everyone would say boy you are doing really well. That is crap. I was smoking for crying out loud. I would not be smoke free if it were not for this site, special people, a wonderful doctor and really wanting to quit this insanity. Bottom line, it really is up to you. We are here. Look at all the responses you have. Hope to see you back on the right side of the fence soon. Janna, It doesn't matter to the Junkie what happened to you, she took the opportunity to nab you at a weak moment. The smoking hasn't really made anything better has it? Now you have the dilemma, plus a lost quit. (I am not trying to make you feel worse.)If you really want to quit, than quit! You know what happens when you sit on the fence, The junkie will pull you down. So jump down now on the Junkie's head and get back on your quit! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 196 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,900 Amount Saved: $2,067.80 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 23 Mins: 53 Seconds: 28

Just one to get me through this rough spot. Only there's another rough spot and another one after that. Let me tell you a smoker's secret. You will look for rough spots. When you find something trivial it will grow to be a mountain high bogyman just to MAKE a rough spot to get over. Janna, been there done that.Do not believe any thing that junkie is telling you. Today you may only be smoking two but who knows how many next week will bring, if you really really want to be a non smoker jump right back in it is never easy but you can do it. Waiting will only make it harder. Well, Janna, then stop this crap right now. You know no junkie ever spoke a word of truth, you know any amount is too much and it will not be long before you are smoking "that much". It's going to be harder & harder the longer you let it go. You also know that you will go through whatever it is you are going through whether you smoke or not and smoking will channge neither the situation nor the outcome. If you want to talk about the difficult time you're having, if you want to vent or ask for advice, we're here for that. If you don't want to & you just want to be held up & encouraged, we're here for that, too. The junkie is there for the junkie, not for you. Whenever you're ready, Janna. I just think the sooner the better. My $.02 CDN. Thanks. I am scared. I am teetering on the fence with this. I apparently do not want to smoke because I didn't just start smoking full time again. Like today, I smoked two right in a row early this morning (4am) and none since. I have the junkie in my ear telling me "you aren't smoking very much - don't worry about it". Keeps saying that I need it right now with what I am going through and that I can quit again later. I don't want to fall for that. If I don't stop this crap right now it will be harder later and I may never try again. Janna, the important thing is you learnd something to take with you as you get back on your quit. You can do it, you did it for 99 days. Make sure you get a coping strategy in place for the kind of situation that you caved under, get out your old ones, take my hand & climb back on up. I'm glad you came back right away, you will be too. Now, let't get this done!
