Hi everyone! I'm also a newbie here. I quite on Wednesday 2/22. Yesterday was my first full day without a smoke. My skin was crawling and I a a raving lunatic, but I made it through the day. I woke up this morning feeling a lot better. I hope to be able to come here often for support. The toughest part for me is at work. I work in a very high stress field and I usually mess it all up during the work hours... I've quite twice before for 7-10 months each time, but ended up going right back to it when something stressful happened at work. I hope this time will be different, and it is up to me to make it so. Hi tmzucker, welcome to an awesome site. I found it while surfing the net I had already quit, but I had no idea the amount of help that is on this site, visit it as often as you can. Just reading the messages gives me encouragement and the will power to get through this. I like you had quit 2 other times once for 18 months. Take care and let us hear from you. :) Sunshine My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 48 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 829 Amount Saved: $168 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 0 Mins: 33 Seconds: 24

Zucker, Zucker, Zucker...HOLD ON TIGHT. If you have done this before you know it is difficult. Just stick too it. Find a more positive healty way to handle the stresses at work like get a punchin bag and every night go home and punch it. I would like on of those myself. :) Just hang in there. I am Madam Knight Stix...of the Knights of the Empty AshTrays. We are a Feburary group of ash kickers. Come talk with us...we will help you stand strong. I am alittle bit out there but most of the others seem to have it together!LOL! Hope to see ya pull through! Remember: No Smoke, No Choke, No Croak! Isn't that inspirational? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 12 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 125 Amount Saved: $45 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 20 Mins: 11 Seconds: 8

Welcome to the worlds greatest non smoking community, keep close to this site to give you the best chance of success. 7-10 months is a major feat, so you have proved you can do it. Once you have established your quit it seems that you need a plan for coping with stress at work (we probably all need one!!). Good luck and 'see' you around. Welcome to the SSC. Be sure to check out the program tools to the left. They will really help you develop a plan for when the cravings hit. Quitting isn't easy but it is worth it. The best advice I can offer you is to read, read, read, and post, post, post. There is a lot of good information on this board that can really help you make this your forever quit.
