spark, The decision to quit smoking in itself is such a huge step in the right direction. It is important when deciding to quit, that we quit for the right reasons and that we truly feel we are ready to quit smoking. Honesty with one self is key to a successful quit. Be true to yourself and your endeavor to quit smoking and you will successfully succeed. If you have not, please take advantage of our free quit program as you access your glove compartment when logging on to our site. This program will help you through each step of the quitting process. Remember the SSC Support Team is always here to help you with your quit. Please keep us posted. Take Care, Melanie _________________ The SSC Support Team

Well i talked to my wife tonight and she has agreed to stop smoking with me im showing her this sight now so you should be hearing from her soon as well. We both are going to quit together to make it easier on us. Today we bought a bunch of cleaning supplies to clean house and car to get rid of smoke smell. We have decided no more smoking in car or house for our last week. So that will cut back on our smoking so when 3/5/2006 comes up it will be some what easier. Thanks for all help and tips.

this is one time i would not mind people calling me quiter. You would think after two heart attacks it would be easy to quit. This is one spot im weak at. I hope talking to other quiters HA HA it will be easier for me, just to talk about it with others I WISH THE BEST TO ALL OF US. I plan on smoke free on 3/5/06.

I smoke three packs a day so it is going to be tough. But now that i found this family to talk to i feel like I really can do this ( no i know i can do this) with all the suport i have read in here to others. I also found out i may have to stop drinking coffee in the morning. Any help there?

Welcome Spark and congrats on having a go at quitting again, I know it takes a lot of guts to start off in the first place. You have a couple of weeks until your quit date and I would recommend having a good look around at the various postings here as some are very inspiring and you can get some really good tips on how to prepare etc. I think that one of the keys to success is to really get the mind in gear so that you are 110% determined to get through it and also to have a plan of how to cope with the enevitable withdrawl symptoms. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/6/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 17 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 206 Amount Saved: 42.5 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 3 Mins: 3 Seconds: 30

Fantastic news Spark!! March is as good a time as any to quit and I think that doing it in a month where you won't have to socialise too much is wise too - less temptation. Anyhow, this is a brilliant decision - the best thing you will ever do!!! Read and post here often - this forum and the support of the great people here is second to none!! That's great Spark! It gives you lots of time to prepare and get smart about not smoking. Truly, these tools on this site are so helpful. You need to prepare to replace your smoking with something else. It may be exercise, chewing gum, a hobby or anything else that interests you. I never realized just how much time was spent in smoking, buying cigs., planning where and when to smoke etc. Won't it be great when you have your very own family holiday month?
