Anticipating a trigger

Aloha! I'm glad to hear all went well. I think I used smoking the same way but then I also used it to socialize with other smokers. It's funny that I still have a connection to those smokers but we don't socialize much anymore. I've thought of stepping out into the smoking area and spend a couple minutes talking but haven't yet. Maybe one day. Hello Unhooked and Mamakitty! Hi! Good to hear from you too! I'm having trouble updating my picture thingy correctly. I did have one pic up with the tower for a bit and lost it when I was diddling around with another so you probably did see me for a flash, aloha. Maybe this one of all of us will show up this time? If it does, I'm in the middle, papa kitty is on the left and baby kitty is on the right:) I'm doing alright. I was doing fabulous, but it's been really hard again the last few days. I think that anti-social part of me needs to learn new rewards for myself during times of familiar life... Like tonight, I was digging into some piles that needed going through, and trying to put up little lights under our old kitchen cabinets for a treat - and got overwhelmed. So? Here I am:) I was also away for awhile because I've been keeping myself busy with yoga classes and trying to walk the dog inbetween for some exercise and balance. I'm unhappy that I've put on some weight. Junky has been telling me to smoke so I won't nibble so much... You know how that goes. I could gain weight when I smoked too:) The life style change is hard enough (so many benefits though!) but the mental changes are most trying... I think I'll have to visit here more often:) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 54 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 810 Amount Saved: $216.00 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 15 Mins: 26 Seconds: 30

You're BOTH freakin' gorgeous! I was an anti-social smoker type too. I'm so glad it all worked out and you're even stronger because of that experience aloha. I'm learning from you two... whether you know it or not:) Thanks... unhooked I'm not surprised we share that in common. I made it through just fine. Had a few moments of not wanting to be there, but just rode those out. Interestingly, two of my kids called me, and I stepped outside to call them each back. I purposely didn't go out the door where I'd smoked last time, and I didn't stay out there long. But, touching base with them grounded me. And then I just enjoyed what was going on. I was glad to be home tho ;) Thanks Josie -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 135 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,400 Amount Saved: $918.00 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 21 Mins: 26 Seconds: 25

OMG, aloha, I have neve heard anyone else say that before! I was an "anti-social" smoker, too! Nobody ever got that! That's why "social" situations were so often my downfall. This might be dangerous but it works for me. Go outside anyway. Don't hang with the smokers, that's too tempting. Go past them, think "see ya, wouldn't wanna be ya", go around the corner or across the street, around the block, whatever. It's the getting away, regrouping & touching base with myself, not the smoking! AND **it never WAS the smoking**. You can do it, you will do it, & I can't believe there's another anti-social smoker here!
